Interventions in agriculture (crop and animal), agribusiness and aquaculture constitute a key programme area for FOCEP. FOCEP has ample expertise in the development of Farmer-Based organisations (FBOs) in the production of high value and productive crops and animals that will lead to enormous job creation for beneficiaries along the value chains.
We design and build environmentally friendly and financially affordable Water and Sanitation facilities for the poor in the very vulnerable communities in rural, peri-urban and inner cities in the country. We also provide capacity building and other relevant consultancy services for partner organisations and clients in the WASH sector.
As part of our environment and resource development focus, we provide effective programming and consultancy support in afforestation, agro-forestry, land restoration and reclamation to ensure environmental sustainability.
FOCEP has a very strong social inclusion perspective, which is clearly demonstrated in its exclusive support for Persons with Disability (PWDs). We have sufficient expertise in providing the needed resource and capacity development support for PWDs to become economically active and productive through efficient Community-Based Rehabilitation projects.
Unemployment and in particular, youth unemployment in Ghana has become a severe policy burden, which is adding to the existing socio-economic challenge in the country. FOCEP’s youth empowerment and development programmes generate realistic job opportunities for the unemployed youth through relevant skills development, innovation facilitation processes and technology transfer.
FOCEP provides comprehensive and practical career development and professional enhancement solutions for various actors along the labour market value chain. FOCEP applies hands-on and systematic approaches along critical career paths to bridge the gap between the job market and the educational institutions through the School to Career (S2C) initiative. We develop and implement career counselling and guidance programmes for graduates at the various levels of the educational structure.
We offer business and development consultancy services for our clients who are mostly Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and other partner organisations. These services cut across the afore-mentioned focus areas.
